 Cooperation with festivals

ASIFA has been traditionally connected with the most important animation festivals in the world, and still is...
After terminating the old system of "Festival Patronage", new ways of cooperation with even more festivals or under discussion; among the Board members, and between ASIFA and the festivals
More information can be found in the FESTIVAL ZONE.

 ASIFA Workshop Group

There are over 30 ASIFA children workshops throughout the world, where children are aided in making animated films. Instructors are animators from different countries, and some of the productions are collaboration between several nations, with exchanges of children. New generations are thus introduced to animation from the inside, whether they become animators themselves, or a selective audience. And they are introduced to international understanding in the process.

The ASIFA Workshop Group holds its own pages on ASIFA.NET.

 ASIFA Archive

ASIFA has amassed throughout the years over 400 titles in 35 and 16 mm, and is transferring them to video for better access to its members.

The ASIFA Archive has found a new home at the Cinematheque in Lausanne, Switzerland.
We are very thankful to long years ASIFA member Bruno Edera for taking care of the material.

ASIFA-Iran was founded in 1987, ASIFA-Cuba in 1991, ASIFA Mongolia in 1993, ASIFA-South Korea in 1996, ASIFA-Macedonia in 1998, ASIFA France (AFCA) in 1999, ASIFA India and ASIFA Colorado in 2000. Other groups are coming together throughout the world.
