Proposal for a new organisational structure of ASIFA:
...by Thomas Renoldner

"Instead of a worldwide election on ASIFA Board candidates the ASIFA Board (to be called ASIFA Parliament) shall be composed of representatives from all national and regional ASIFA Groups and Offices."

The sentence above contains the essence of a proposal for a new organisational structure of ASIFA, which I regard to be urgently necessary.
I have said a lot of arguments before (e.g. in my president's letters from march 2002) today I just want to add this:

ASIFA exists since more than 40 years, and a lot of things have changed fundamentally since then.
Therefore it seems just logical, that also the organisational structures must be adapted to the needs and possibilities of the present days.

I heartly invite all ASIFA members and friends of our organisation to participate in the current discussion and to send messages to our Discussion Board.
You will find the proposal / discussion board in the [ COMMUNICATION ZONE ] at | New Structure Proposal | or you can click here.

Open ASIFA Meeting at the OTTAWA'02 Animation Festival

At the Ottawa 2002 festival another Open ASIFA Meeting will be organised.

Main topic of the meeting will be to talk about the proposal of a new structure of ASIFA, presented by Thomas Renoldner, ASIFA President.

Date and time will soon be published here.
